You're not going to want to date those girls, young man

Paul has a wonderful book all about the human body, and today, while his friends were over, they were all looking over it in fascination.

They come to the page with certain...anatomy, to which Paul's friends release an adolescent "EEWWWWWW!!!". Being the mom that I am, and believing the things that I do about the body, I turn around and gently explain that penis's are not gross, and that everyone has them and they're not bad things.

Have you seen the error of my ways yet? When I made this comment I made it with my young audience of boys in mind.

So when I said "Everyone has them and they're nothing gross or bad" boy 1 replies with a disgusted "Yeah, and even some girls have them, too!"

Ohhhhh, it was awesome. Another quick and simple anatomy lesson taught these 6,7 and 9 year olds that no, girls in fact have vaginas, and no girl actually has a penis. And that is what makes girls and boys different. I felt like I needed a theme song or a cheesy puppet.

But now my neighbor boys are educated on the physical differences, whether their mother wants them to be or not.
