Kids vs Chair = Plants vs Zombies

There is a game/app called plants vs zombies. The premise of the game is that zombies are attacking your house and you can plant plants in your yard that will attack the zombies and save you from having your brains eaten.

It's the kids favorite game.

There are pea shooters, cherry bombs, walnuts, frozen pea shooters, spitting mushrooms, and all kinds of attacking plants.
And in a lovely new twist, the kids have also taken to playing it in a live version.
Paul and Nona wanted to play the live version, but didn't think it would be as fun to pit themselves against each other. There'll be plenty of time for that when they're teenagers, right?

They were unsuccessful at convincing Beau he should be a Zombie, so they made one in stead. Yes my friends, my kids made a zombie. Paul is a chomper plant, and Nona is a pea shooter, and they're getting ready to fight some Zombie! Notice the arms made out of pipe cleaners and plastic drum sticks.

But you can't be good all the time, so they went a little Zombie themselves for a while.

And just to tally it all up, this is a kitchen chair, wearing a Knight helmet, the helmet is on a mixing bowl that has somehow grown a zombie face (I don't mind sacrificing an old bowl for the sake of imagination), the bowl wearing the helmet is stacked on top of every single kitchen towel I own, which is stacked on top of a storage cube, which is on the kitchen chair. Pipe cleaners woven together form the arms.

I figure there are worse things they could do than kill the living dead. Hey, real world experience, right?

Colin got that game for his birthday and the entire family is obsessed! We took it with us to my parents house at Christmas and now my Dad can't stop playing it either! The next time we are in Utah we should get the little zombies together.
